Brenda Sue Roach

Brenda Sue Roach, 63, of Metropolis, and formerly of Cobden, died at 12:48 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

She was born in Carbondale, the daughter of Robert L. and Martha A. Adams Furlow.

She married Harold L. Roach on Feb. 9, 1974, in Jonesboro.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Leroy Roach of Metropolis; four sons, Jeffery Lawrence Furlow of Eddyville, Ky., John Anthony (Kim Erin) Roach of Jonesboro, Kevin Eugene (Debbie Sue) Roach of Dongola and Keith Allen (Annette Lynne) Roach of Dongola; 14 grandchildren, Jeffery Lawrence Jr. (Scarlett Louisa Faye) Furlow, Joshua Scott Furlow, Amanda Faith (Zack Shannon) Longmire, Shelby Marie (JD) Brown, Alisha Nicole Brimm (Victor Murillo), John Michael Brimm, Elizabeth Jadden Brimm, Brittany Marie Roach, Brandon Lee Kane, Brittany Ann Kane, Brett Allen Hammer, Lane Michael Hammer, Gage Ray Brock and Manda Dawn Harris; three great-grandchildren, Linda Faith Furlow, Lane Francis Furlow and Dominic Eugene Alan Longmire; four sisters, Sharon (Jim) Keller of Dixon, Roberta (Gary) Michaels of Cobden, Donna (Joe) Powell of Ava and Diane Dailey of Anna; one brother, Robert Jr. (Cathy) Furlow of Cobden; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Cobden. She loved her family, her flowers and going to the casino.

Funeral services for Mrs. Roach were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with the Rev. Bon Reynolds officiating. Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
