Danny Honey

Danny Honey, 61, of Mounds, died suddenly at 11:36 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1955, in Cairo, the son of Howard and Mildred Lingle Honey.

He married Audrey Osburn on Dec. 7, 1973.

He worked in construction his entire life. He farmed with his dad and worked in Honey's Radiator Shop. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 318.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Honey of Mounds; a daughter, Angie (Micah) Cross of Jonesboro; a grandson, Jacob Cross of Jonesboro; a brother, Paul Dean (Joan) Honey of Carterville; a sister, Gail (Dick) Palmer of Vienna; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services were at 4 p.m. Friday, May 6, at St. John's Cemetery, with Terry Honey officiating. Friends and family were asked to meet at the cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the family.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
