Coffman Martial Arts celebrates ‘great day’

Saturday, July 8, was described as a great day for Coffman Martial Arts Academy in Anna.

Two black belts, Dillon Greer and Jacob Cross, tested for and achieved their First Dan (degree) black belt rank.

Grand Master Robert Cutrell, founder of the ChunJiDo Organization, was an honored guest and judge for the black belt testing, along with Master Micheal Dockery and Master Chris Wissman (Moo Sul Kwon).

ChunJiDo is a prestigious, worldwide organization for black belts.

The colored ranks showed their knowledge with demonstrations and Grand Master Cutrell and his associate, Master Micheal Dockery, held a demonstration about the art of ChunJiDo.

The day ended with a group picture of the Tae Kwon Do students performing chair straddles.

The picture and an article about the school will be published in an upcoming issue of Black Belt Times.

The black belt testing was tedious to include almost two hours of physical testing and testing on technique, forms and breaking.

In addition to these great events, Heather Coffman was honored to receive a 5th Dan rank (master ranking). She is the owner and operator of Coffman Martial Arts Academy.

“I am very proud of my students,” Coffman stated about their achievements.
