Richard Seward

Richard Seward, 49, of Jonesboro, died at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at his home.

He was born on July 11, 1968, the son of Larry and Elizabeth Seward Wheaton.

He is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked as a tech at the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a gun enthusiast and a very health conscious person.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Greg Wheaton officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard funeral honor team of Marion.
