Joyce S. Duncan

Joyce S. Duncan, 78, of Anna, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at the Ray & Kay Hospice Center in Paducah.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1938, in Jonesboro, the daughter of James Elbert and Gladys Irene Eudy Shelton.

She married Jesse Wayne Tutt on Aug. 2, 1957, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1982. Later, she married Clarence Duncan on Aug. 11, 1986, in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2006.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Kris) Winiger of Dallas, Texas, Lisa (Clint) Wallace of Du Quoin; four grandchildren, Jordan (Chelsie) Winiger, Ryan Winiger, Chelsea Shelton and Jessy Wallace; three great-grandchildren; sisters Sue (Leon) Rendleman of Anna, Kay DeFosset of Anna and Linda (David) Banks of Herod; several nieces and nephews; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her two husbands, Jesse Wayne Tutt and Clarence Duncan.

She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to read and spend time with her family. She worked as a caseworker for Illinois Department of Human Services and later for Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, today, at the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, today, at the cemetery, with Pastor Dean West officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
