Charles E. Dillman Sr.

Charles E. Dillman Sr., 73, of Jonesboro, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1944, in Tamms, the son of Lloyd and Villa Mae Kirk Dillman.

He married Janet Pedigo on Feb. 23, 1967, in Olive Branch.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Dillman of Jonesboro; two sons, Charles Dillman Jr. and Craig (Christie) Dillman, all of Anna; one daughter, Christina (Jeremiah) Willmore of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Michael Dillman, Britteny (Daniel) Rich, Ethan and Ayden Dillman, Elaine, Lucas and Joseph Willmore; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; four sisters; and a granddaughter, Alexis Dillman.

He was a member of the East Cape Baptist Church. He worked many years as an over the road truck driver. He was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Bikers Against Child Abuse. He served in the U.S. Army.

Funeral services for Mr. Dillman were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Mayberry officiating.

Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard funeral honors team of Marion.
