Nelson R. Brimm
Nelson R. Brimm, 80, of Jonesboro, died at 3:26 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the Marion VA Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1937, in Anna, the son of Pete and Marjorie Ray Brimm.
He is survived by his two sisters, Terri (Bob) Dover of Anna and Patricia (Ron) Dwight of Peoria, Ariz.; three nieces and one nephew, April (Jonathan) Teske, Wade (Idegail) Dover, Cheri (Jeff) Kaltenback and Jenifer (Mike) Nicoloff; 12 great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Homer Eddleman; and one nephew, Bobby Dwight.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the Trojan Powder Plant in Wolf Lake until it closed and later worked at A-J One Stop in Anna for several years until retiring. He was a lifelong member of Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna.
Funeral services for Nelson E. Brimm were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Anna, with Bob Dover officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Scott Air Force Base honor guard.
