Richard Pitts, 72, of Anna, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on July 20, 1945, in Anna, the son of Lynn and Esther Oliver Pitts.
He married Charlene Dover on April 4, 1964.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Pitts of Anna; a daughter, Denise (John) Garner of Anna; a son, Shane (Angie) Pitts of Beason; five grandchildren, Chase Garner and Tristin Garner, Chelsea Pitts, Ryan Pitts and Ashley Polk; one sister, Donna Pitts of Escondido, Calif.; many other family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bob Pitts, Jack Pitts and Bill Pitts; one sister, Linda Coffee and two infant sisters, Shirley Ann and Sandra Kay.
He worked many years for Florsheim Shoe Company. He coached American Legion and Khoury League baseball. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and following A-J Wildcat basketball, baseball and football.
Funeral services for Mr. Pitts will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 14, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
Friends can call after 10 a.m. and until the service hour at noon on Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
