Linda J. Petersmeyer

Linda J. Petersmeyer, 73, of Delphos, Ohio, died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Delphos, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on July 16, 1945, in Anna, the daughter of Raymond and Shirley Boyd Cates. They both preceded her in death. 

She was united in marriage to John Petersmeyer on Oct. 21, 1967. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Petersmeyer of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Jill (John) Radler of Delphos, Ohio; a sister, Melissa McIntosh and fiance Rocky Smith of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Jordyn, John, Josh and Jarrett; special nieces Amber Wachter, and Ashley McIntosh; a great-niece and nephew, Addison and Mayson; and many friends, aunts and cousins.

She was the Franklin Elementary School secretary for 28 years. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  

She loved music and some of her favorite times were spent with friends at Southern Gospel concerts. She also played the piano at her church. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, today, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  The Rev. Rich Rakay will officiate.  

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the Allen County Special Olympics or to the Trinity United Methodist Church building fund.
