Southern Seven Health Department on Wednesday, June 10, reported two new deaths as a result of COVID-19 in the counties it serves.

Plans are moving forward to have the 2020 Union County Fair in Anna.

Uncertainty has been surrounding many events in Illinois during the ongoing coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

Gary W. Davis Sr., 66, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, June 6, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Pamela K. Meyer, 73, of Anna, died at 10:51 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Larry Kenneth Kerley, 74, of Maryville, was born on Sept. 3, 1945, in Paducah,  and died on June 5, 2020, at his residence.

Burman Eddleman, 83, of Dongola, died at 7:54 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020, at his home.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1936, in Dongola, the son of Vivian and Elsie King Eddleman.  

Eva Bernice McRaven, 85, of Jonesboro, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Thebes.

Elsie M. Lingle, 87, of Thebes, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, at her home.
