Adam Lee Boren

Adam Lee Boren, 45, of Wolf Lake, died Sunday, April 9, 2017.

He was born on June 11, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Russ and Gwen Pendergrass Boren.

He married Maryanne Copeland on March 18, 1995, in Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Maryanne Boren of Wolf Lake; three sons, Sean Copeland of Indianapolis, Ind., Elijah Boren and Levi Boren of Wolf Lake; his mother, Gwen Pendergrass of Phoeniz, Ariz; Owen Cross who was like a grandchild; two half-brothers, Tommy (Samantha) Pendergrass and Robert (Amy) Pendergrass; one half-sister, Jenifer Pendergrass, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was a member of the Gailee Baptist Church in Wolf Lake. He worked as an over the road truck driver. He was known for his love of grilling and mud racing. He served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

Memorial services for Mr. Boren were at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Jack Thorton officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Illinois Army National Guard military honors team of Marion.
