Anne M. Szafranski

Anne M. Szafranski, 90, of Dongola, died Sunday, July 12, 2020, at the Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born on May 28, 1930, in Joliet, the daughter of Marco and Anna Cernetich Petric. 

She married John F. Szafranski on May 28, 1949, in Joliet. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Szafranski of Anna, Gerald Szafranski of West Dundee, Yvonne (Steve) Eickelman of Dongola and Michele (Ken) Richter of Anna; and siblings Terri Marine of Chicago, Tony Petric of Joliet and Donald Petric of Hueytown, Ala. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John F. Szafranski; a sister, Angela Michalesko; and a brother, Raymond Petric.

She enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anna.

Private services will be held for the family.
