Audrey Delores Dover

Audrey Delores Dover, 86, of Anna, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at her son’s home.

She was born on March 17, 1931, in Union County, the daughter of Jewell “Jude” and Mildred Marie Dixon Sims.

She married Harry L. “Sonny” Dover on July 9, 1946, in Union County. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2003.

She is survived by her children, Harry Lee (Jerre) Dover of Lancaster, Ohio, Dorain (Mike) Lingle of Marion, Bob (Terri) Dover of Anna, Wayne (Karen) Dover of Jonesboro, Dana (Amy) Dover of Anna and Melody (Larry Jo) Keller of Jonesboro; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters; other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry L. “Sonny” Dover; two brothers; one sister; and one great-granddaughter, Hadley Chase Ashby.

She was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church in Anna. She was a longtime member of the Anna Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader, Audrey loved books of all kinds. Until her health recently failed she read two to three books a week. Spending time with her family was very important to her. During the warm months she enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. An Order of the Eastern Star services will be at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.

Friends can call after 11 a.m. and until the service hour at 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
