Barbara C. Pitts

Barbara C. Pitts, 86, of Anna, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born on Feb. 9, 1935, in Anna, the daughter of Merle and Pearl Brasel Clutts. 

She married Jack Pitts on March 16, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Mrs. Pitts is survived by her children, Ed (Cathy) Pitts of Cobden, Jack (Tanya) Pitts of Anna and Tina (Brent) Boyd of Jonesboro; grandchildren Brandi Boyd, Jessie (Michael) Rogers, Nikki (Kenny) Shipley, Samantha Pitts and Dustin Pitts; great-grandchildren Henley Rogers and Logan Shipley; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Pitts; a son, Bob Pitts; and a brother, Merle Eugene Clutts. 

She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She liked to cook, sew and do puzzle books. She loved her flowers. She was an avid reader and liked to watch sports. She was a member at the Bethel Baptist Church in Cobden.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Kelley Cemetery in Cobden. Interment will immediately follow. 

Friends can call from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to the Kelley Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and at the funeral home.
