Barbara Sue Hubbs

Barbara Sue Hubbs, 81, of Anna, died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on April 8, 1935, in Cypress, the daughter of Donald and Lela Hinkle Templeton.

She married George Thomas “Tom” Hubbs on May 22, 1955, in Anna.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tom Hubbs of Anna; one son, Greg Hubbs of Anna; two granddaughters, Lyndsey (Kyle) Roach of Dongola and Emily Hubbs of Anna; one great-grandson, Clayton Thomas Hubbs of Anna; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Jerry Templeton; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Hubbs.

She was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. She loved painting, art and music.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hubbs were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
