Barbara Sue Landis Fisher

Barbara Sue Landis Fisher, of Dongola, died at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Integrity Healthcare of Anna.

She was born in Anna, the daughter of Willy Everett and Mildred Viola Nimmo Landis.

She married Raymond Fisher in 1957. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2008.

She was a beautician in Dongola for many years. She and her husband Raymond were partners at Fishers Florist and Greenhouses in Dongola for 14 years. She was an excellent singer with a country music show named “Slims Roadshow.”

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, DeLois Fisher of Vienna; a son-in-law, Kenny Taylor of Anna; grandchildren Klinton (Kim) Taylor of Cobden, Lindsey (John) Teefey of Springfield, Adam (Ashley) Taylor of Cobden, Brent (Destiny) Taylor of Jonesboro, Jessica (Mike) Hux of Columbia, Mo., Nicole Fisher of Columbia, Mo., and Jacob Stevens of Vienna; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters Roberta Middleton of Anna and Jean Middleton of Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Fisher; a daughter, Donna Taylor; a son, Rob Fisher; a brother, the Rev. A.W. Landis; and a sister, Betty Gibbs.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery in Dongola.

Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Dongola.
