Betty D. Cast

Betty D. Cast, 77, of Murphysboro, and formerly of Union County, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Integrity Healthcare of Anna. 

She was born on Dec. 1, 1942, the daughter of John R. and Iva Mae Seals Williams. 

She married William Cast on Feb. 13, 1962, in Anna.          

She loved working her crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and absolutely loved her dog Sadie.            

She is survived by her daughter, Alisa (Rodney) Wachsnicht of Anna; son Gary Dewayne (Andrea) Cast of Swansboro, N.C.; grandchildren Briana Cast, Kayla Flemming, Garrett Cast, John and Carl Phillips; great-grandchildren Bobby and Caitlin Phillips, Blake and Makenna Flemming and Ella and Mia Cast; nieces Leslie Miller, Ellen Williams and Pamela Cast; nephews Jimmy and Buddy Cast; many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Cast; two sisters, Katherine Williams and Erma Louise Williams; and a nephew, Elige Cast.          

Funeral services were at noon Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Billy Carter officiated. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
