Beverly J. Tinsley

Beverly J. Tinsley, 85, of Commerce, Texas, and formerly of Mounds, died on Aug. 25, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.  

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, Texas, with the Rev. Oliver Mowat officiating.  

Burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. 

She was born on Aug. 15, 1937, in Dixon, the daughter of Clyde Henley and Florance Wolfe Henley.  

She was retired from the Bunge Corporation. She attended Cross Trails Cowboy Church.

She is survived by her sons Larry Oakes and wife Patsy of Commerce and Tom Oakes and wife Melissa of Campbell; grandchildren Adam Oakes and wife Onyx, Madeline Oakes, Walker Oakes, Cassandra Smiley, Fouad Dababneh, Shadi Dababneh and Blake Dababneh.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lannes Oakes; her second husband, Ron Tinsley; son David Oakes; and her parents.

Pallbearers were her sons and grandsons.
