Bonnie Sparks Heisner

Bonnie Sparks Heisner, 68, of Benton, Ky., died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Paducah.

She enjoyed going to Lake Glendale, traveling to Gatlinburg and, most of all, spending time with her family and getting sugars from her grandsons.

She had retired after 30 years of service as a cashier at  Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dale Heisner of Benton, Ky.; a son, Ricky DuPree (Brittany); three grandsons, Benjamin, James and Mathew, of Dexter, Ky.; one sister, Gwendolyn Ray (Curtis) of Whitesboro, Texas; five nephews, one niece, seven great-nieces and nephews, three great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Mary Margaret Cope Sparks; and by one sister, Linda Forrester.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Bonnie Sparks Heisner were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Congregational Church in Grand Chain. The Rev. Gerell Cain and the Rev. Steve Heisner officiated.

Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Grand Chain.

Pallbearers were Keith Ray, Kelly Ray, Glenn Forrester, Billy Forrrester, David Hubbard and Jeff Heisner. Honorary pallbearer was Monty Heisner.

Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak was in charge of arrangements.
