Carla M. Ballenger

Carla M. Ballenger, 77, of Dongola, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1944, in Kewanee, the daughter of Carl and Violet Rosenow Felten. 

She married Hurley Ballenger on June 23, 2007. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2019.

She is survived by her children, Bennett (Sandra) Siebert, Tina (John) Walters, Mary Lou (Ron) Gorst, Tracey Siebert and Angelina (James) Daugherty; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lou Smith, Paddy Schwemlein and Ruth (Ron) Dobrydnia; two brothers, Ed Felten and Don (Wanda) Felten; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, James Siebert.

A celebration of the life of Carla Ballenger will be hosted by her family at a later date. 

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
