Carolyn Hale

Carolyn Hale, 77, of Anna, died Sunday, June 26, 2022. 

She was born on Feb. 22, 1945, in Union County, the daughter of Gilman and Mary Edith Davis Parker. 

She married Lester “Wayne” Hale on Aug. 14, 1964, in Anna. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2013.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Willy) Clayton of Anna and Melissa (Patrick) Naas of Murphysboro; four grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Hoehner, Fallon (R.J.) Millis, Zach (Ashten) Moore and Justin (Haley Inman) Moore; five great-grandchildren, Blakeley, Bryson and Henry Hoehner, and Clayton and Camryn Millis; her best friend, Joyce Brown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hale; her parents; stepfather Glenn Barker; a sister, Patricia Poffenburger; and two brothers, Bobby Davis and Mike Barker.

Mrs. Hale was a member of the First Christian Church of Anna. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Funeral services for Carolyn Hale will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Joseph Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery. 

Friends can gather from 11 a.m. until the service hour at 1 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. 

Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church in Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
