Cathy I. Wilson

Cathy I. Wilson, 64, of Dongola, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. 

She was born on Sept. 29, 1957, in Anna, the daughter of David and Leona Aden Brown.

She married James Wilson on June 16, 1987. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2004. 

She enjoyed volunteering her time at Share and Care, Michelle’s Treasures and the Dongola Library. Years ago, she worked at the Village Café in Dongola.

She is survived by two brothers, Charles (Sharon) Brown of Dongola and Dan (Cindy) Brown of Allerton; a sister, Earlene (Lindell) Croft of Vienna; her companion, Doug Wagoner of Dongola; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were at noon Friday, March 11, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. Pete Vinson officiating. 

Interment was in Mound City National Cemetery following the service.
