Charles ‘Chuck’ Duane Grace

Charles “Chuck” Duane Grace passed away on March 25, 2022, in Upland, Calif., at the age of 78.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara (Keistler) Grace of Upland, Calif.; sons Michael (Kelly) of Elyria, Ohio, and Marshall (Rachel) of Orlando, Fla.; daughter Joni (Bill) Jordan of Parma, Ohio; sisters Judith Kelliker and Nancy (Don) Shannon of Independence, Mo.; sister-in-law Carole Anne Baker and brother-in-law James Keistler of Anna; grandchildren Georgia, Brennan, Morgan, Alex and Cassie; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike William Grace and Freda Bryan Grace; and his sister Patricia Boley.

After graduating from the University of Missouri at Rolla, Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam with an infantry unit. 

Following his discharge as a 1st lieutenant, he pursued a career as an electrical sales manager at Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he worked for most of his professional life. 

A passionate golfer, Chuck also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, a pursuit he engaged in as much as possible after retirement. He will be greatly missed as a man who truly loved his family and his country.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 11 a.m. for friends and family. It is requested for visitors to arrive by 10:30 a.m. at the Mound City National Cemetery, located at 141 State Highway 37, Mound City, Ill. 62963.
