Charles Larry Lasley

Charles Larry Lasley, 74, of Buckeye, Ariz., and formerly of Anna, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, in his home.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1942, in Carbondale, the son of Charles Eugene and Ruth Collier Lasley.

He married Mary Jane Miller on May 1, 1965, in Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Lasley of Buckeye, Ariz.; one son, Todd (Nina) Lasley of Anna; one daughter, Meredith Lasley of Marion; five grandchildren, Michael (Alyson) Lasley of Anna, Mickenzie (Allen) Rider of West Frankfort, Mikayla Bunch of Marion, Morgan Bunch of Jonesboro and Chase Bunch of Marion; three great-grandchildren, Blakeley Rider, Riker Rider and Emma Lasley; one brother, John (Linda) Lasley of Buncombe; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He owned and operated Lasley Construction for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer.

Memorial services for Mr. Lasley were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Pastor Charles Jennings officiating.

Military rites were conducted at the funeral home by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard military honors team of Marion.

Memorials can be made to the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
