Chet Allen Hudgins

Chet Allen Hudgins, 44, of Dongola, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Marion. 

He was born on Aug. 21, 1977, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Roy and Diane McRaven Hudgins.

Mr. Hudgins served in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked as a custom motorcycle builder. He was a big fan of the movies “Star Wars” and “Lonesome Dove.” 

He is survived by four daughters, Destinee (Christopher) Kleffman, Cheyenne Hudgins, Sierra Hudgins, all of Omaha, Neb., and Haley Hudgins of Georgia; his mother, Diane Hudgins of Dongola; his father, Roy Hudgins of Ridgeland, S.C.; a sister, Stephanie Mauldin of Dongola; a brother, Clint (Jessica) Hudgins of Dongola; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Leon Hudgins; and his grandparents, Don (Bullet) and Bernice McRaven.

A memorial service was held at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms  at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6.
