Clyde H. Lingle Jr.
Clyde H. Lingle Jr., 80, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at his home.
He was born on May 29, 1942, in Jonesboro, the son of Clyde and Lois Rich Lingle.
He married Darlene Howell on April 9, 2005, in Cobden.
Mr. Lingle is survived by his wife, Darlene Lingle; son Ricky (Maria) Lingle of Jonesboro; daughters Tammy (Mike) Townley of Carbondale and Crissey (Derrick) Frankell of Hobe Sound, Fla.; stepchildren Rhonda (Rick) Miller of Millersville, Mo., Cindy (Greg) Dohogne of Scott City, Mo., and Whitney (Ryan) Tate of Jackson, Mo.; grandchildren Johnny, Jeremy and Josh Evans, Dakota, Cyrus, Skylar and Althea Lingle, Jera Reynolds, Joe Miller, Natalie Jewett, Casey Goodale, Jacob Holmes, Katie Dohogne and Addison Tate; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ken (Linda) Lingle of Jonesboro; sisters Betty Fairhurst of Jonesboro, Sue McIntosh of Cape Girardeau, Patty Lingle of Cape Girardeau, and Debbie (Steve) Hamilton of Clarksville, Tenn.; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Shirley Suitte.
Mr. Lingle was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Cobden. His working life was spent farming, working for Southern FS and Donald Jordan Trucking.
He loved antiques and fast cars, tractors and working on anything with a motor. Clyde enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorial services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Bill Littrell and Doug Bridgeman officiating.
