Donald Dillow

Donald E. Dillow, 81, of Cobden, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at his home. 

He was born on Oct. 30, 1940, in Waukegan, the son of Clarence E. and Ruth Marion Stang Dillow.

Mr. Dillow is survived by his son, Fred E. (Tina) Dillow of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Robert (Gigette) Dillow, Lisa Medina and Logan (Paola) Dillow; three great-grandchildren, Landan, Clay and Paige Dillow; a sister, Sharon R. (William M.) Hall of Cobden; a nephew, James Hall, who has been like a son to Donald; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a grandson, Fred Edward Dillow II.

Mr. Dillow owned and operated Dillow’s Glass and Radiator in Waukegan with his son for many years. In 1995, he retired and moved to Southern Illinois. He loved growing vegetables and would donate his produce to the local food pantry with Shawnee Development Council for seniors. 

Visitation services were from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment immediately followed in Casper Cemetery. near Anna.

Memorials can be made to the Shawnee Development Council food pantry.
