Duffy Carl Sanders

Duffy Carl Sanders, 29, of Buncombe, died in the early morning hours on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at his home. 

He was born on Oct. 22, 1991, in Carbondale, the son of Duffy Allen and Tammy Marie Qualls Sanders.

Duffy was a 2010 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. He played many sports, such as youth football, soccer, baseball, track and basketball. 

He was a kind-hearted soul and will be greatly missed. Duffy possessed a giving and caring heart and he was very good with children. There wasn’t a day that his nieces were not looking for him to play a board game or pretend. 

He always enjoyed anime, video games and playing games online with friends around the world. 

Duffy is survived by his grandparents, Carl and Sybil Qualls of La Quinta, Calif.; his mom and dad, Duffy and Tammy Sanders of Buncombe; one sister, Tiffani (Patrick) Kaufman of Dongola; three brothers, Chris (Robin) Sanders of Waterloo, David (Jessica) Sanders of Westfield, Ind., and Nick (Cheyenne) Sanders of Anna; several cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and many friends. 

Duffy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ted and Avis Sanders; an aunt, Christine Sanders; and one nephew, Levi Sanders.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Brett Neighbors officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery. 

Friends may call after noon and until the service hour at p.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
