Earl Noble

Earl Noble, 61, of Anna, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at his home.

He was born on June 7, 1955, in Anna, the son of Donald Richard and Carolyn Yvonne Isom Noble Sr.

He married Jo Vonna Hemby on Jan. 8, 1977. They had just celebrated 40 years of marriage together as spouses, partners and friends.

He worked for over 30 years as a copier technician in Southern Illinois and the Paducah area. He enjoyed fishing, but golf and football were his passions. He looked forward to time on the golf course with friends and his brother, Rich. He would happily engage at any time in conversations about professional football, knowing all the latest facts.

His pride and joy were his sons, Dylan and Austin. He loved watching his sons participate in sports and coached them for several years. He enjoyed seeing them grow up to be wonderful, fine young men.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jo Vonna Noble of Anna; sons Dylan Noble of Paducah and Austin Noble of Edwardsville; a brother, Richard (Linda) Noble of Bettendorf, Iowa; a niece Katie Noble of Bettendorf, Iowa; an uncle Gary (Brenda) Noble of Jonesboro; a cousin, Sue Ann (Jack) Zimmerman of Anna; other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Sherry Mitchell.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Alan Rhein officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.

Immediately following the interment, there was a Celebration of Life and meal provided at First United Methodist Church in Carbondale for family and friends, including those who were not able to attend the services.
