Edlein Josephine Dillow

Edlein Josephine Dillow, 105, of Anna, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at home surrounded by family. 

She was born on Feb. 13, 1918, in Cobden, the daughter of John E. and Josephine Cerny Stegle. 

She married Leon Dillow on June 12, 1937. They shared 54 years together before his death on Aug. 13, 1991.

She is survived by three daughters Kay (Paul) Shukis, Marilyn (Ron) Beanland and Melinda Dillow; and daughter-in-law Judy Dillow. 

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Carl (Suzanne) and Steve Dillow, Shane (Kim) and Brett (Shelly) Shukis, Shay (Bill Hadley) Beanland and Ashlee (Ted) Cunningham; eight great-grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Hodges, Kasie and Kenzie Dillow, Blake and Tyler Shukis, Ray, John and Edlyn Paige Cunningham; four great-great-grandchildren, Cash and Cobie Hodges, Hunter and Hayden Dillow; sister-in-law Martha Dillow; and other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leon and son Halford; and her two brothers, three sisters and one brother-in-law.

A private graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Anna Cemetery, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna was in charge of arrangements.
