Eleanor B. Ketchie

Eleanor B. Ketchie, 96, of North Charleston, S.C., and formerly of Anna, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1921, in Anna, the daughter of Dee Brimm and Vica Young Brimm. She married Irvin Ketchie.

She loved the outdoors, and could be found working in her yard surrounded by flowers. She was adored by family and friends and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Janis (David) Dewitt of North Charleston, S.C., and Bobbye (Dave) Heerboth of Webster Groves, Mo.; a sister, Virginia Miles of Collinsville; grandchildren Sarah and Eliza Heerboth, Dave Dewitt and Dana Heyward; great-grandchildren Keaton and Colin Heyward; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dee Brimm; her mother, Vica Young Brimm; her husband, Irvin Ketchie; sisters Mary Whitney and Adonis Watson; and a brother, Charles D. Brimm.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ketchie will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.
