Elmer W. Eichhorst
Elmer W. Eichhorst, 93, of Ullin, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Marion VA Medical Center Long Term Care.
He was born on April 5, 1927, in Ullin, the son of Edward and Ora Taake Eichhorst.
Mr. Eichhorst was a lifelong farmer in Pulaski County and a member of the Farm Bureau.
He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church of Dongola, where he served as an usher and on the church council.
Serving in Germany, Mr. Eichhorst was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his nephew, Bill (Kelly) Miller; and a great-niece and nephew, Megan and Jason Miller.
Mr. Eichhorst was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy Eichhorst; sisters Vera Eichhorst, Laura Eichhorst and Gladys (Lewis) Miller; and nephew, Jeffrey Miller.
Funeral services for Elmer Eichhorst were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, at the First Lutheran Church of Dongola, with the Rev. Carol Johnson officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery in Ullin, with full military honors.
