Faye Louise Light
Faye Louise Light, 87, of Thebes, died at 2:52 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1934, in Fayville, the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Bishop Burns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Burns and Gertrude Keelin; and by brothers Arthur, Russell and Edward “Eddie” Burns.
She and her loving husband of 68 years enjoyed raising horses over the years. She worked in a chemistry lab in Chicago in her younger years, as well as being a homemaker and housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Light; a brother, Dave Keelin; sisters Juanita Parnell and Judy (Teddy) Bryant; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, with Kevin McCoy officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
