Frank ‘Larry’ Wiedlocher

Frank “Larry” Wiedlocher, was born on June 27, 1949, in Anna, the son of Carl and Dorothy DeMonde Wiedlocher, and died at home on June 18, 2017, in Salem, Mo., at the age of 67.

He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.

On Dec. 28, 1968, he married Gloria Green in Carmi.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. Following discharge, he graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in forestry. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed learning, raising small animals, farm work and hiking in the great outdoors. He had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and Dorothy Wiedlocher; a sister, Anne Jenette Wiedlocher; and a brother, Christopher Wiedlocher.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Wiedlocher of Salem; children Bradley A. Wiedlocher and wife Sylvia of St. Louis, Zachary B. Wiedlocher and wife Laura of St. Louis,  and Stephanie A. Hough and husband Peter of Alton; brothers Carl Wiedlocher III of Las Cruces, New Mexico, George Wiedlocher and wife Jeanne of Carbondale, and David Wiedlocher and wife Clare of Lebanon, Tenn.; sisters Sharon Martin and husband Gale of Midland, Texas, Penny Ottesen and husband Bill of Centerville, Tenn., and Regina Siadek and husband Jim; grandchildren, Cedric, Elias, Eden and Asher; extended family and friends. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church in Salem, Mo. 

Memorials can be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America and/or Life of Hope Ministries in Joplin, Mo.

Wilson Mortuary in Salem, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
