Fred Leon Morse

Fred Leon Morse, 62, of Anna, died at 10:50 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at his home in Anna.  

He was born on Nov. 6, 1954, in Union County, the son of John and Pearl Smith Morse.  

He married Donna June Cantrell, who preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2015.  

He worked for the railroad in Kansas City, Kan., with the Renzenberger Corporation. He later did mechanic work while residing in Anna.

He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed transporting cars and ginseng digging.

He is survived by his children, Freddy Morse Jr., Felicia Morse, Sylvester (Shirley) Morse, Chester Morse and Johnnie Morse; 14 grandchildren; brothers Milas of Ina and Bob (Jennifer) of Kansas City, Kan.; sisters Evelyn and Carolyn both of Anna, Alice of Jonesboro, Sue, Betty and Cindy, all of Kansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Raymond, Charles, Kenneth and Robert; and a sister, Beverly. 

Funeral services for Mr. Morse were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with Susan Middleton officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
