Glenn I. Dillon III
Glenn I. Dillon III, 78,of Jonesboro, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Ind.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1943, in Glendale, Calif., the son of Glenn Jr. and Louis Dillon.
He married Linda Newberry on Dec. 5, 1998, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Mr. Dillon is survived by his wife, Linda Dillon of Jonesboro; two sons, Jeff (Cori) Dillon and Justin (Angela) Dillon; a daughter, Stacy Denton; a stepson, Dennis (Lori) Helton; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Lance Dillon.
Mr. Dillon served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Anna.
He retired from the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna before continuing to work at a CILA home.
His greatest joy was his children. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to the gym with his friends. In the past, he ran several marathons.
Graveside funeral services for Glenn Dillon were at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Mound City National Cemetery, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment, with full military honors, followed.
