Gloria Jean Miller
Gloria Jean Miller, 80, of Tamms, died at 5:21 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on June 9, 1942, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie Wehrenberg Wilson.
In her early years, she worked as a beautician and then began her career as a shipping clerk for Servicemaster in Cairo.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family, flower gardening, landscaping, going out to eat and traveling.
She was a member the First Baptist Church in Tamms and the Farm Bureau.
She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed attending many games. She was always very active in supporting her sons’ military careers, as well as their teammates.
Survivors include her sons, Johnny (Anne) Miller and Michael (Beverly) Miller Sr., both of Tamms; a grandchild, Michael Miller Jr. of Tamms; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Turlock, Calif.; and a nephew, Kenneth Wilson of Turlock, Calif.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Myron Wilson.
A funeral service honoring the life of Gloria Jean Miller will be held at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms on Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Bob Kirby officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, June 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
Interment will follow in Spencer Heights Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Tamms. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
