Gordon L. “Butch” Noble Jr., 75, of McKinney, Texas, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1941, in LaSalle County, Ill., the son of Gordon Leroy Sr. and Myrtle May Wilkison Noble.

He married Sheila Kay White on Nov. 5, 1988, in Texas.

Mr. Noble is survived by his wife, Sheila Noble of McKinney, Texas; daughter Kara Noble of Austin, Texas; son Brad Noble of Peoria; two grandchildren, Luca Marquez and Makali Noble; one great-grandchild on the way; brother Russ (Elaine) Noble of California; other extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Nancy Noble.

Mr. Noble worked for Montgomery Ward for almost 26 years as district manager. After taking early retirement, he worked in the insurance industry with Sheila before fully retiring.

During high school he was very athletic; he excelled in basketball and baseball and became semi-pro. He enjoyed sports and also loved to golf.

He and Sheila enjoyed traveling and visited many different places around the globe. He loved to cook and would make chili for the local fire department; and most of all he was proud of his beef jerky.
