Helen Louise Williams

Helen Louise Williams, 82, of Auburndale, Fla., and formerly of Jonesboro, passed on to be with our Heavenly Father at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Fla.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1940, in Jonesboro, the daughter of William Russell and Maude Ellis Sullivan.

She married Lloyd Donald Huelson on April 8, 1968, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1993. She later married Dennis Williams on June 4, 2004, in Auburndale, Fla., and he survives. They made many friends and enjoyed bluegrass together.

She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Hileman of Anna; her son, Don (Carolyn) Huelson of Olathe, Kan.; granddaughters Danielle Huelson of Olathe, Kan., and Lauren and Grace Huelson of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandsons Zachary and Jacob Huelson of Olathe, Kan.; and her special nieces, Billie Jo Henderson of Cobden and Linda Cain of Jonesboro.  She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Betty Sue and Nona Kay Sullivan; and brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Joyce Sullivan.

She was a member of Lockard Chapel Baptist Church and firmly believed in the power of prayer.

She was a 1957 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and graduated from the nursing program at Shawnee Community College. She worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory for many years and worked in healthcare after moving to Florida in 1985.

She faced many challenges, including losing her sisters and mother at an early age, but was able to focus that energy on her extended family and the older members of her family. She was extremely proud of, and loved spending time with, her grandchildren and especially loved her special time with Danielle.

Funeral services for Helen Williams were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Jack Richardson officiating. Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.
