James Leo ‘Jim’ Karraker
James Leo “Jim” Karraker, 78, of Mt. Zion, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic private family services will be held.
Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home in Decatur is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Karraker was born on July 31, 1942, in Anna, the son of Leo and Imogene Dillow Karraker.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Karraker married Patricia C. Geoffray on Dec. 26, 1970.
He retired from PPG after 40 years of service as a mechanical engineer, working at the Crystal City, Mo., Carlisle, Pa., and Mt. Zion plants.
Mr. Karraker was a faithful member of Morningside Church of Christ. He was a country boy who enjoyed deer hunting. He was a jack-of-all-trades and was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Mr. Karraker is survived by his wife, Patricia C. Karraker of Mt. Zion; children Shannon James Karraker of Springfield, Shelley Karraker of Nashville, Tenn., and Brandon James (Erica) Karraker of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister: Beverly (Carl) Magsamen of Schaumburg; and grandchildren Kaleb James Karraker and Kristyn Karraker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Ray and Blanche Dillow and Charles and Mable Karraker; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Reva Geoffray.
