Jeff Powles

Jeff Powles, 59, of Tamms, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, at 9:35 p.m. at Mulberry Manor in Anna.

Jeff was born on May 6, 1962, in Effingham, the son of Howard Ray Powles and Mary Albright Powles, who both preceded him in death.

In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, camping and playing basketball. 

Jeff is remembered as having a kind soul and being loved by all. He attended the Tamms Methodist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Stan (Alison) Powles; a sister, Betty Jane Powles; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra and Treva.

A funeral service honoring Jeff’s life was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Rev. Brent Gordon officiated.

Burial followed in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds. 

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
