Jeffrey Daniel ‘Dano’ Hale

Jeffrey Daniel “Dano” Hale, 51, of Cobden, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. 

He was born on March 28, 1970, in Carbondale, the son of Henry D. and Rose McCrary Hale.

Mr. Hale is survived by his mother, Rose Bailey of Cobden; a son, Tristan Daniel Hale (fiancé, Amber Holten) of O’Fallon; a daughter, Zoe Grace Hale of Anna; siblings Thomas Bailey III of Cobden, Steven Bailey of Alto Pass, Tammy (Tim) Smith of Jonesboro and Allen (Angie) Bailey of Anna; maternal grandmother Vivian McCrary of Steeleville; several nieces and nephews; special friend Angi Dexter of Carbondale; many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry D. Hale, and stepfather, Tom Bailey.

Mr. Hale worked as a concrete finisher for many years. He was an avid NASCAR and World of Outlaws fan and enjoyed attending races and watching them on TV. 

Funeral services were at noon Friday, Oct. 1, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with the Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Interment was in the Cobden Cemetery. 

Memorials are requested to Tristan and Zoe Hale.
