John F. Berry Sr.

John F. Berry Sr., 70, of Anna, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1951, in Cobden, the son of Delmar and Vesta Davis Berry. 

He married Brenda Poole on Aug. 1, 1969, in Alto Pass.

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Brenda Berry of Anna; a son, Johnny (Eileen) Berry Jr. of Ullin; a daughter, Bobbie Jo (Stephen) Lipe of Dongola; grandchildren Colby, Jacob and Samuel Lipe, and Skylar Tubbs; sisters Kathleen Trexler, Rita Trexler and Patricia Peshoff; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by siblings Tom Berry, Timmy Berry and Ruby Coffman.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and shooting his guns. He loved horses and camping. He was a member of the Union County Saddle Club and every year he and his daughter, Bobbie, would do a nine-day trail ride and camp. He enjoyed taking boat rides with his wife. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. 

Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery.
