John William Ice

John William Ice, 82, died on May 15, 2017, at the Park Manor of Westchase nursing home in Houston, Texas, following a long battle with dementia.

He was born on June 8, 1934, in Anna, the son of Julia and Rayburn Ice.

He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in the class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He had a long career in the printing business in both Chicago and Houston. He was also a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and The Society of American Magicians.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Scott) MacCall of Montana and Karen Baker of Houston; and his grandchildren Kasey, Kelly and Randy Baker. He is also survived by his former wife of 21 years, Kathy Walker of Georgetown, Texas.

He will be remembered by his friends and family for his dry sense of humor, soft-spoken kindness and sleight of hand at the magic table.

A memorial service will be held at the National Cremation Service chapel in Houston on Thursday, June 1.
