Jon Elmer Jones

Jon Elmer Jones, of Fitchburg, Wis., and formerly of Jonesboro, died peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 22, 2022, at his home. 

He was born on March 18, 1963, the son of Jack Jones and Martha Isaacs Garrett.

Mr. Jones is survived by a sister, Darlene (Jones) Osteen and husband Bill of Florida; a sister, Debi (Jones) Barnett and husband Mike of Marion; a brother, Tyler Jones of Dongola; an uncle, James Jones of Dongola; an aunt, Adra Jones of Dongola; various cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Lori (Chauvin) Jones; his mother, Martha Garrett; his stepfather, Joe Garrett; his father, Jack Jones; his grandmother, Lucille Isaacs; and a brother, Brian Garrett.

A private family memorial is planned for the spring.
