Joyce Alexander
Joyce Alexander, 70, of Eldorado, and formerly of Cobden, died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.
She was born on June 6, 1947, in Cobden, the daughter of Nova Lee and Evelyn Bonita Aldridge Pack.
She is survived by her sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Coffman of Foley, Mo.; brothers Nova Dean Pack of Riverside, Calif., and Danny (Paula) Reed of Hammond, Ind.; an uncle, Clarence Ray (LaVonne) Aldridge of Anna; nephews and nieces Scott (Jeri) Hagler, Steven (Christie) Hagler, Angela (Frank) Owens, Rhonda (Kurt) Anderson, Brandon (Jessica) Pack, Joshua (Michelle) Pack, Destiny Faith Pack and Stephanie Reed; great-nieces, great-nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father, Nova Lee Pack; her mother, Evelyn Bonita (Aldridge) Reed; and two brothers, Ronald Pack and Roger Pack.
She was a member of the Star Church of Eldorado. She was a children’s minister and dearly loved children. Some of her many hobbies were baking, decorating cakes and quilting.
She was a great conversationalist, she would keep in touch daily with all her family and friends. It was very important to Joyce for her family to stay connected, sometimes spending hours each day on the phone catching up.
Funeral services for Joyce Alexander were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Pastor Mike Sharp officiating. Interment was in the Cobden Cemetery.
