Katherine Sue Sullivan

Katherine Sue Sullivan, 71, of Anna, died Sunday, July 4, 2021, at a private residence in Anna.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1949, in East St. Louis, the daughter of John Thomas and Mabel Edrie Lindsay Wells.  

She married Keith Sullivan on Jan. 29, 1967.

Mrs. Sullivan was a member for over 40 years of the First Baptist Church in Anna. 

She was an avid gardener, loved growing and transplanting flowers, and enjoyed spending time with family and playing board games. Being a part of her children and grandchildren’s lives was especially cherished by her. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Paula Sullivan and Dawn (Gary) Rider; three grandchildren, Braden (Allison) Rider, James Sullivan and Brynn Rider; eight siblings, Betty (Robert)Winniger, David (Dee) Wells, Shirley (Don) Wells, Danny Wells, Sarah (Derrell) Hugern, Jackie (Don) Arlan, Elaine Hilmes and Mark (Donna) Wells; special friends Jack and Sue Ann Zimmerman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Sullivan; her parents, John Thomas and Mabel Edrie Wells; siblings Edrie (Marlon) Sullivan, Mary (Evan) Brock and Sam (Mary) Wells; half-siblings Thomas (Evelyn) Wells, Josephine (Glen) Hewett and Nellie (Richard) Palmer.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Bro. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Kelley Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the SIH Cancer Center would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. 

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
