Kevin E. ‘Cookie’ Cook

Kevin E. “Cookie” Cook, 55, of Anna, died at 2:46 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born on May 6, 1962, in Union County, the son of Johnnie Burl and Janice Ganell Holderfield Cook.

He owned and operated his towing service for many years. He dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always helping others when they were in need.

He is survived by his father, Johnnie Burl Cook of Jonesboro; daughter Ashley Cook of Anna; grandchildren Braxton Kameron Ray Knupp and Jacklynn Mae Grace Kennedy; a sister, Cheryl (Keith) Huddle of Kissimmee, Fla.; a brother, Danny (Tancy) Cook of Anna; a sister, Sarah Lee (Anthony) Burnett of Carbondale; a special friend, Pam Moss of Murphysboro; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Ganell Cook, and a daughter, Kimmy Jo Cook.

Funeral services for Mr. Cook were at noon Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Anna. Interment was in the Limestone Cemetery near Cobden.
