Larry Ray Lingle

Larry Ray Lingle, 71, of Dongola, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, at his residence. 

He was born on Dec. 28, 1959, in Anna, the son of Van Hugh and Irene Eddleman Lingle in Anna.

He married Rae Lingle on June 30, 1973. She survives. 

Mr. Lingle was retired from the Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative, where he had worked for 36 years. He was a graduate of the Dongola High School class of 1969. 

He enjoyed auctions, livestock sales and following his granddaughters to cattle showing. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Landon (Breanna) Lingle, Lana Lingle and Terry (Trena) Lingle; seven granddaughters, Madison Lingle, Lexie Lingle, Kristen Duckworth, Peyton Lingle, Kinley Lingle, Aden Lingle and Ryker Van Lingle; a sister, Sharon (John) Resch; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment followed the service at Meisenheimer Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Meisenheimer Cemetery.
