Lloyd Dewayne Duty

Lloyd Dewayne Duty, 83, of Dongola, died at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at his home in Dongola.

He was born on Aug. 22, 1936, near Saratoga, the son of Marion and Flossie Harris Duty.  

He married Mary Helen Wallace Tellor on July 2, 1989.

Mr. Duty is survived by his wife, Mary; sons William Duty (Betty) of Dongola, Marion David (Connie) Duty of Cypress, Marshall Duty, John Duty and Eric (Jenny) Tellor, all of Dongola; daughters Lisa (Randy) Mead of Dongola, Carol Iaccino of Carterville, Jennifer (Pat) Casey and Deborah Durham, both of Dongola; a sister, Etta Sue Lindley of Marshall; a niece, A. Kristine Lindley of Fishers, Ind.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Duty was preceded in death by his parents; three infant brothers; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Duty; a granddaughter, Tracie Duty; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Lindley.

Private graveside services will be held at St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola,  with the Rev. Larry Jordan officiating.
